The Secret Service's recent budget arc.
The Secret Service's budget across the four published fiscal columns — FY2024 enacted, the FY2025 full-year continuing resolution, FY2026 enacted, and the FY2027 request. Net discretionary is the recurring appropriated base; total budget authority adds the mandatory annuity contribution the agency administers. Both are drawn from the same self-validated spine as the rest of this monitor, so every figure re-adds to the published total to the dollar.

Budget authority — the four-column window
nominal (current $) · net discretionary + mandatory annuity · $ in thousandsReading the arc
The Secret Service's appropriated base rises across the window, with the FY2027 request the largest of the four columns — driven by law-enforcement hiring for the protective mission and the surge of protective work ahead: the 2028 Presidential Campaign, the 2028 Summer Olympics, and modernized protective infrastructure. The mandatory annuity contribution is held flat and kept strictly separate from the discretionary headline, so the growth shown is real appropriated growth, not a mandatory-account artifact. This is the published four-column window: OMB's long budget-authority series (Historical Table 5.2) is reported at the department level for DHS, not for the Secret Service as a component, and we do not synthesize a longer bureau-level line.
